In January 1944 American and British landed in Anzio. Initially the Allies made no progress and it wasn’t until February 20th that the German’s started to retreat and the Allies captured Rome.
The Russians begin to push the Nazis westward. Battle footage and scenes of refugees returning to their burning homes.
