Description
Andree Ruellan at 100 is a short documentary film created by the Georgia Museum of Art. In conjunction with the exhibition celebrating Andree Ruellan's 100th birthday, an artist whose career spans the 20th century. Ms. Ruellan, who now lives in Woodstock, New York, is an important artist of the WPA period and previously has enjoyed a retrospective at the Georgia Museum of Art. The Andree Ruellan video has three themes: visits to the South, the Works Progress Administration period, and focus on racial discrimination. There are five sections of the narrative including an introduction, Journeys South, Bringing Light to Injustice, To Enrich the Lives of All, and Her Spirit Lives On.
